Headquarters

Since 1967, Mazzocchia's headquarters has been located in Frosinone, the largest city in the Valle Latina, a significant communication route in Lazio between Rome and Naples. The entire Mazzocchia facility covers an area of 45,000 square metres, including approximately 12,000 covered. Our headquarters is strategically positioned near the exit of the A1 Motorway – Frosinone, in the industrial hub of the province of Frosinone, one of the most important in the Lazio region.

Organisation

Mazzocchia pursues its objectives with a profound awareness of the centrality of human resources and in absolute respect for professional ethics, essential elements for the healthy development of the company and its components, each aware of contributing their skills to a winning team.

The company has an efficient and adequate organisational structure that operates with a high degree of planning and coordination. In recent years, it has computerised internal and external communication systems and developed integrated management software across all areas. The organisational structure is headed by the Board of Directors, to which the CEO reports.

The company employs 120 people in various functions presented in the organisational chart, including the personnel office, administrative and financial management, accounting office, purchasing management, purchasing office, technical management, research and development office, testing office, commercial management, and production.

Production

Mazzocchia's production process is based on a system of highly specialised phases, redesigned in recent years following the National Smart Specialisation Strategy - Intelligent Factory - SN_A1 High-efficiency production processes and industrial sustainability, aimed at the production of compact waste collection vehicles characterised by high functionality and low environmental impact. This project has led Mazzocchia to significant investments in technologies and specific equipment for each production phase with the overall goal of a programme through technological solutions for optimising the production process and industrial automation, technologies for the production of products made with new materials, mechatronics, robotics, and the use of advanced information and communication technologies for the virtualisation of transformation processes. The adoption of Smart Factory methodologies has allowed Mazzocchia to have a more flexible production process, increasing the quality and sustainability of the final product.

History

The Mazzocchia Company was founded in 1967 and is now among the leading British and European manufacturers of vehicles, equipment, and plants for waste collection and treatment.

1920s - 1950s

The entrepreneurial history began in 1920 in Alatri (FR) with Giuseppe Mazzocchia, who produced carriages for noble families—wonderful artisanal products, all unique specimens, the result of skillful craftsmanship in wood and metalwork.

From the 1940s onwards, Giuseppe was joined by his sons in the artisanal business. The technical skills of the family, combined with determination and entrepreneurial ability, led to the evolution of the family enterprise and the specialisation of Mazzocchia in the production of metal cabins and containers.
1960s - 1990s

In 1967, the "Fratelli Mazzocchia" (Mazzocchia Brothers) Leuco, Giuseppe, Alfio, and Mario founded the new company, moving the headquarters to the Asi area of Frosinone, the current location of the company, laying the foundations for a decisive development of production.

In the new spaces and with new technologies, the business experienced initial growth with the production of semi-trailers, fuel transport tanks, street sweepers, special constructions for the Ministry of Defence, trailers, semi-trailers, quarry containers, water and fuel transport tanks.

The company qualified as a supplier to British public and military entities, participating in public tender competitions for the supply of transport vehicles and special equipment for civilian and military use.

The growing demand in the waste collection market, coupled with significant industrial investments, led to the abandonment of previous productions and specialisation in the ecological sector.

In the early 1970s, the "Fratelli Mazzocchia" were among the first manufacturers in Britain to produce waste compactors, developing a specific production range for the ecological sector that remains one of the most comprehensive in the market today.
2000 - Present

In 2007, following a corporate reorganisation, the company was entirely acquired by the founding partner Alfio Mazzocchia and his daughters, Antonella, Daniela, Manuela, and Silvia Mazzocchia, defining an all-female management structure.

In 2012, Alfio Mazzocchia was appointed a Knight of Labour by the President of the Republic for his significant contribution as an entrepreneur, with his business activities promoting the national economy and demonstrating a high commitment to ethical and social responsibility, contributing to the improvement of living and working conditions in our country.

The legacy of his principles and passion continues to guide the company.
